Like all cities, Palermo harbours parallel realities that are not equally and immediately accessible. Behind the scenes of what was once called Theatre of the Sun, Quattro Canti in the centre of old town, the interior of Palazzo Costantino was restaged using lighting, a guiding system of strings, and sculptural interventions. Allowing the eyes and expectations to readjust, layer upon layer of presence was summonned inside the disused landmark, soon to re-emerge in public life of the city.
